We surfed for a few hours. During that time the fog had cleared as it was blown out to sea by the offshore winds. By the end of the surf the sea breeze had blown the fog back in. Just a typical day in Victoria really. You can get so many seasons in one day. The foam produced from breaking waves looked like snow against the mist and green water. Then when the sun peaked through the fog the water turned a crystal blue colour. For us we paddled out in winter and paddled in, in winter. But for those fleeting moments in between we surfed in spring and got a glimpse of summer. Bottom line was ~ the waves were fun, the water was cold and the vibes were good.
The fog sometimes stays around all day along our ocean beaches. You can get lost in it. It can be hard to see the shore and nearly impossible to pick when the sets are coming.
